Twelve people killed and 11 others injured after a tractor and a minibus in central Russia
MOSCOW – Twelve people were killed and 11 others injured in a collision between a tractor trailer and a minibus in central Russia.
Russia’s Interior Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that the collision took place near Syzran in the Samara region about 730 kilometers (450 miles) southeast of Moscow on Friday.
Preliminary information indicated that the tractor trailer was towing and heading in an oncoming lane.
The Russian investigative committee said it had opened a criminal investigation. The condition of the truck driver was not reported.
