‘Cobra Kai’ actor Ralph Macchio greets NHL Washington Caps tribute deadline

Ralph Macchio is not going to change his hockey loyalty from his beloved New York Islanders. But when he saw the new coach of Washington Capitals, Peter Laviolette, pay tribute to the show by giving some bandanas in the locker room after the game after the victory, Macchio gave the coach an exclamation.

Macchio is of course Daniel LaRusso in the hit Karate kind movie series and its Netflix cover, Cobra Kai.

As a big hockey fan, this is great! Well done coach, ”Macchio wrote in a tweet. “We hope for a successful and entertaining NHL season for everyone! Although my marriage did not falter. Let’s go islanders! ”

A loan from Cobra Kai, Laviolette, TJ Oshie, honored the right wing of Capitals and gave him the first bandana in his conversation after the first victory behind the Washington bench. Laviolette gave Brenden Dillon a second bandana for showing toughness.

The next task for Laviolette is to convince Macchio to board the Capitals train.
