Brooke Baldwin was supposed to keep the CNN anchor seat warm for just a week. Instead, she lasted 13 years, until today’s last farewell to the audience during her last performance.
Baldwin struggled to maintain composure after a brief montage of her CNN moments, and then addressed the audience for the last time.
“This work that has been using my voice for over a decade has been nothing short of a profound privilege,” Baldwin said. ‘So for you home, thank you. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for holding me accountable. And thank you for all the love. ”
Baldwin announced her leave in February. and tells viewers, “I just need to do more outside the walls of this place.” But she also hinted in an interview that there were other reasons to call CNN a ‘network by men’ and mention that she’s best paid anchors and managers are men. ‘She expressed some frustration over her hour of the 2020 presidential campaign for Jake Tapper.

Today, Baldwin set aside any follow-up and thanked her CNN family. She added: ‘Thank you for making me better. Thank you for pushing me. Thank you for believing in me and my great setback of the high dive today. ”
