Chrishell Stause responds to setback because she posted large family party photos amid coronavirus pandemic

Chrishell Stause has released a response to her critics on social media after she apparently ignored coronavirus restrictions to celebrate Christmas with her family.

The ‘Selling Sunset’ star (39) shared a series of photos on Instagram of herself introducing her new boyfriend, ‘Dancing with the Stars’, pro Keo Motsepe, to her family as they celebrated the holiday. The snaps showed the group in the custom holidays while posing indoors with children and dogs.

However, the family holiday post was quickly mocked by her followers on Instagram, who noted that at a time when the coronavirus is strong and people are being asked not to travel for large indoor family gatherings, the post feels dull and unsafe.

The criticism prompted Stause to update the caption of the report to acknowledge that it may not have been the most sensitive or self-conscious message.

“For those who raise Covid concerns, I understand and agree that it was not a good use of my platform. I usually always try to be socially responsible with my posts, because of course I am a compassionate person, she explained. “I can see how it does not show some people. I understand that you will not agree, but at least so that you can see where I come from.”

The star noted that, despite what it looked like, everyone involved in the photo had taken precautions to try to ensure safety.

“This is my immediate family and we can all test before and after. This is the first Christmas without our mother that we felt important to be there for each other in a difficult year,” she wrote.

She also noted that this was the first time she had introduced her new boyfriend to her family, and that the transfer of the euphoria of the meeting was going well.

“Keo brought such welcome happiness and selfishly I posted in a very happy moment,” she concluded. “Please be safe and I send all my love to my supporters and critics. I hear everyone and can appreciate feedback from both sides.”
