Carnival’s Princess Cruises will suspend shipping until May 14 due to coronavirus pandemic

said on Wednesday it would extend the break of its Princess Cruises range until May 14 due to uncertainty over travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The break applies to voyages in the Caribbean, the California coast and the early season for Alaska and European voyages, the company said in a statement. Guests currently booked on canceled trips will be allowed to receive a refundable future cruise credit equal to 100% of the rate, plus an additional non-refundable bonus credit equal to 25% of the rate paid. The break was previously extended until March 31. Carnival shares rose 0.7% and rose 36% over the past three months, while the S&P 500 SPX,
+ 0.57%
achieved 12%.
