Cardi B seems to be playing The Weeknd‘s anger over being pushed into the Grammys with the spotlight on other black artists getting recognition … which is interesting.
The rapper posted a lengthy statement on Saturday about her thoughts on the Grammys drama, and while she admits she did think some albums and songs were likely to be nominated, she does not look nearly as obsessed as others.
All she has to say about snubs is … ‘[M]only next year will they get it right. ‘
How I feel about the Grammies. Do not forget to congratulate the little black artist nominated who has been overshadowed again. This is finally their moment! pic.twitter.com/uoSJtG1aqi

What she wanted to talk about in detail, however, was the fact that a number of lesser-known, independent black artists were nominated this year … and that they should be allowed to revel in the honor, because they are too often ‘overlooked’ seen, though it is wonderful.
Cardi writes: “Do not forget to congratulate again the little black artist who was nominated who overshadowed the cause of the drama. This is finally their moment!” She mentions artists who want to receive an award, such as Freddie Gibbs, Giveon, Brittany Howard, Ant Clemons, Ledisi, Luke James, Thundercat, Chika, Jean and Marcus Baylor and more … of whom several Cardi remark that it does not get the bar, as the names of the tent in the music biz regularly.

She ends by saying, “Soo, besides all the bulls ***, let’s not forget to congratulate these artists.” We are also going to say this is their moment and that people should not overshadow it because your favorite may not be on the list. “Her word choice definitely raises an eyebrow.
Of course, The Weeknd just recently promised to boycott the Grammys forward – that after accusing them of being corrupt and running secret committees that supposedly need a lot of pillows behind the doors. The Grammys denied the characterization.

After all, it sounds like Abel’s other contemporaries mostly agree with him that the Grammys misunderstand time and time again. Drake did not climb into it too long ago exact sentiment … and even BeyonceSunday will not show up, though he is the most nominated artist.
Guess Cardi, who is expected to perform during the big show, does not think at the end of the day it is such a big deal.
