The latest Call of Duty season is almost here. On Tuesday, Treyarch announced it Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone season 2 comes on February 25th. While Treyarch has yet to announce much over the season, the release date announcement got a trailer that gives us some clues about the Operators and the arsenal that can be included in it.
The trailer shows a team of soldiers flying in a helicopter through the jungle of Laos, apparently in search of someone named Naga. It turns out that Naga is wearing a wonderful villain with sunglasses, who is probably securing a delivery of Nova 6, which he is sending to Verdansk. Towards the end of the trailer Naga escapes and our helicopter full of soldiers arrives to clear the remaining opponents and search for Naga on foot.
Based on previous trailers, it looks like many people in the helicopter will be the Operators from which players can choose in season 2, but that’s not all the new content the trailer has revealed. We also got a look at some new weapons that are likely to go after the game.
The first new weapon to appear is a Crossbow, which one of the probable Operators uses to take out an enemy. Then another soldier jumps out of the helicopter that looks like a Galilean, which would be new in the game. Then a few other soldiers move past with slightly less recognizable but also possibly new weapons, and finally someone jumps out of the helicopter with an entire minigun.
Of course, we do not know if these weapons will all play in the game or in what form; the minigun could be a new Scorestreak. We’ll have to have a better idea in the near future as Treyarch announces more about season 2 before it’s released next week.
