Call of Duty: Warzone players had enough of being deceived by a deceptively dark outfit for Operator Pink.
Back in Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone, one reward for reaching level 100 of the Battle Pass was the ‘Smoke’ skin for Operator Pink. This skin gave the character a smooth dark color, meaning that it was particularly difficult to distinguish from the surrounding scenery when fighting in the dark areas of the Warzone map.
Roze’s Smoky Skin has always been an annoyance to the Warzone community, but now it seems the community is expressing their grievances against those who use the skin. The post just below on the Warzone subreddit shows a player eliminating an entire team using Pink’s Smoke skin.
There is nothing more satisfying than putting a full sweaty team of Rose skins in their place … 🙂 from r / CODWarzone
Under the pole, the loads of players sound like how furious they find the Pink Skin to play with. Across the subreddit, players seem to want to use those who use the Smoke skin in the game, with the express goal of eliminating them as quickly as possible.
It’s easy to see why the Warzone community is frustrated with the Operator outfit. I have seen countless cuts over the past few months of players using the Pink Skin to blend in with the surrounding scenery, ever since the skin was first introduced.
Will publisher Activision or developer Raven Software remove the skin from Warzone? This is incredibly unlikely as it was the most popular reward at some point in the game. Fortunately, however, there is no current way for newcomers to Warzone to earn the skin, so we are at least safe from new trolls who encounter the Smoking outfit.
