A Call of Duty Warzone hotfix has been implemented that adjusts the balance of the weapon, including the introduction of an FFAR nerve.
The correction of 6 April follows the Call of Duty: Warzone Plaster Notes which declined last week, addressing a number of complaints from the Warzone community that were not addressed in the capital letter – namely that the FFAR was driven rather excessively.
Raven Software posted the official patch notes on its website, along with a screenshot of the patch notes on Twitter.

The FFAR is the main target of the hotfix, with the assault rifle reducing an Aim Down Sights speed. Raven noted that it was supposed to be a starting point, but that it was too good at short range and surpassed SMGs at short range. This lower ADS speed should keep the rifle strong in the mid-range, while reducing its effectiveness in a melee fire.
There are also some other notable changes in this fix. The Cold War Tactical Rifle Charlie saw an increase in recoil strength. The notes explain that in his previous iteration it was too easy to stay on target, which means the gun was very powerful and accurate. This solution means that it retains power but loses precision.
In addition, changes and corrections have also been made to various attachments, including the Salvo Fast Mag, which gives the FFAR an even greater advantage by not lowering the ADS speed when equipped.
The hotfix is now available, so if you want to plan one last FFAR approach, we’re afraid you’m not lucky.
After the original Season dropped two reloaded plaster notes last week, many Warzone players were unhappy about the relatively light touch it needed to balance the weapon. In fact, Warzone players tried to get Raven Software’s attention by stem brand “FIXWZ”. Well, they seem to have been listening all along, because the overwhelming FFAR was one of the biggest complaints from the community.
