The Call of Duty: Warzone DMR 14 has been released and Battle Royale fans believe the gun has completely ruined the game.
The DMR is a semi-automatic shotgun available in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and it’s usable in Warzone now that the games have been formally merged for Season One. On paper it does not look too muddy, but in practice the DMR can take down a fully armored player in three shots from seemingly any distance.

The Call of Duty: Warzone subreddit has been flooded with clips of players being melted down by the infamous gun before they even have time to react, let alone fire back, which is the crux of the matter. Part of the fun of Warzone is that its armor increases the time to kill and allows for more back-and-forth commitments, but the DMR throws it all out the window in favor of the usual kill cuts you get . in normal Call of Duty multiplayer. It does not help – or perhaps it helps too much – that the DMR does not have a brilliant luster of shotguns, although it can reliably kill from a sniper range.
Obviously, any gun that dominates this force will be in great demand, and the DMR has become so dominant that it only matches the Mac-10, a devastatingly powerful SMG that was also added to Warzone with the season one sync. As our very own Ben Tyrer said of his recent Warzone experiences: “You’re dying of the DMR or the Mac-10. That’s exactly what’s happening now.”
Warzone had seen overwhelming weapons before and everyone was knocked down relatively quickly, but with the world coming back from a long holiday that also interrupted the development of the game, the DMR in particular had a long stay in Busted Town. We hope it will rule soon, otherwise Warzone will start the new year with a groan.
