Call Of Duty Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Servers Mode, Activision Research [Update]

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone servers seem to be experiencing issues, with several sources saying they are no longer available. Players get queues when they want to enter a match. [Update: Servers now appear to be back online.]

There is very little information about what happened that caused the servers for both games to go offline all of a sudden. According to Activision’s support page, the publisher said that both games were ‘experiencing problems’ and that they were currently being investigated. Furthermore, there is no explanation as to when both game servers will be back online. However, Activision noted that it was “working to restore online services as soon as possible.” You will have to wait to make your own massive explosions in Warzone or to watch the zombies apparently spreading across the Warzone map.

Reports claim that players enter long queues when loading in matches. Some can’t even connect to the servers at all. Gaming Intel reported that some players had received messages that the “servers have a large volume” and that they would soon be “placed in a game.” Other players get nonsensical error codes like “Yorker 43 Good Wolf.”

Not all players experience these server issues. While each platform is experiencing connectivity issues for the Black Ops Cold War (except Xbox, as it seems to have been fixed), PlayStation 4 Warzone players seem to be the only ones seeing server hiccups. Every other platform for Warzone is good.

Neither Activision nor co-developers Raven Software or Treyarch Studios have publicly commented on the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone server issues. It is unclear how long they will be offline as the teams continue to rectify the problems with the two matches.
