Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War / Warzone Adds New Operator This Week

It’s a new week and that means Activision is refreshing Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and the battle royal game Warzone. Activision has been through all the changes and updates in a blog post, and we mention the most important take-away here.

New operator and other store bundles

The store in the game welcomes new content this week, the latest of which is a new operator. Samantha Maxis is available for purchase from March 4th. She also has two weapon blueprints, the Ultra-rate Z-74u SMG and the Legendary Neutralizer rifle.

On March 7, the Anime Pilot bundle hits the store in the game. It includes three coat of arms blueprints, all of which are of legendary variety. These include the Fly Boy SMG, the Talon Envy tactical rifle and the Strafe Run semi-automatic shotgun.

On March 9, Activision brings the Gilded Age III: Pro Pack bundle to the store. It features two legendary coat of arms – the carbon composite and carbon steel – along with 2,400 Call of Duty points.

All of these bundles are available for both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.

Playlists

In Black Ops Cold War, a new playlist called Rapid Fire Moshpit is on the way. This playlist includes Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint on the smallest maps of Black Ops Cold War (Apocalypse, Nuketown ’84, Crossroads Strike, Raid, Express and Garrison).

The rules for each game type have changed to keep things crazy. Radar will constantly sweep so no one can hide and the Ghost fringe benefit is eliminated, also so no one can hide. Furthermore, Activision reduced the time between games to adjust the pace.

Elsewhere, the Gun Game playlist stays in rotation, just like Apocalypse 24/7, allowing players to try out the newly released card that came out in Black Ops Cold War in Season 2. The popular playlists stay the same: Nuketown 24/7 Face Off.

Free week starts

Activision’s Free Access Week for Black Ops Cold War and the Zombies Outbreak mode is still available until March 4th. This event was launched on February 25 along with the start of season 2.

Activision’s blog post this week did not mention any changes to the playlist or other adjustments for Warzone, but should more information be available, we will look back with all the information.
