‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ Showrunner Marti Noxon Stands By Stars’ Accounts Of Abuse by Joss Whedon – Deadline

One of the highest profiles Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-producers Marti Noxon has voiced support for cast members Charisma Carpenter, Michelle Trachtenberg and Amber Benson, who accused the series’ creator / executive Joss Whedon of abusing and creating a toxic work environment .

Noxon joined Buffy as co-producer at the beginning of season 3 and rose through the ranks to executive producer / showrunner on the last two seasons of the program, seasons 6 and 7. Carpenter was the first three seasons in the show, Trachtenberg on seasons 5-7 and Benson for seasons 4-6.

Carpenter was the first to speak on social media on Wednesday, accusing Whedon of abusing his power “on numerous occasions”.
