Bruce Springsteen fired tequila after one shot

Bruce Springsteen allegedly collided in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, when he pulled over to take photos with fans – and then took a shot of tequila presented to one of them, fully on police.

The ‘Born to Run’ icon, 71, was riding his motorcycle on the peninsula on November 14 when he was ‘noticed by fans asking him to pull over and take pictures’, according to a source near Springsteen.

“Bruce stopped, took the photos, and a fan offered him a shot of liquor he took while sitting on his bike, which was stationary,” the source said.

“Park police saw what happened and they pulled Springsteen off as soon as he drove away.”

The Post could not immediately verify this account with law enforcement.

Springsteen is charged with DWI, reckless driving and alcohol use in a closed area, a National Park Service spokesman said.

The Asbury Park Press reports Springsteen’s blood alcohol content was 0.02 – just a quarter of New Jersey’s legal limit – when he was arrested.

The legal threshold in New Jersey is .08, which according to the outlet is questioned as to why Springsteen was charged with drunk driving.

The news about the bust broke out a few days after Springsteen appeared and told a Super Bowl venue for Jeep, in which he urged Americans to move to the political “middle” in the spirit of unity amid the recent bitter divisions .

The ad has since been posted from Jeep’s YouTube page.
