After escaping from jail last year and hiding for months, a man in the UK has been arrested after hiding for a copy of Call of Duty, only to be caught in the process by the police.

Butler hid from police when he November last year he slipped out of HMP Spring Hill Jail, in Buckinghamshire, where he was sentenced to 17 years for crimes including robbery and firearms crimes.

When local police spotted Butler and his friend, the pair changed direction to avoid police. This caught the attention of the police, who asked Butler about what he was doing during the closing of the pandemic. He replied: ‘I went to get the new one Call of Duty because I can not lock up, ”reported the West Midlands police.

The officers then asked for some details, on which Butler attacked one of the officers. After being arrested, it appears that Butler gave the police a false name. He received a sentence of 13 months for his original prison sentence and an additional six months for the quarrel with the police.

West Midlands Police Superintendent Nick Rowe looked confused as to why Butler even wanted to buy the game, saying: ‘Why he decided to take the risk of returning to prison by the idiots’ decision to go into town to come while locking up a friend for a video game will remain a bit of a mystery. ”
