Enough hot air can be drawn into the state for mixing along the SE coast to keep the total lower in that part of the state. The highest snow totals are in the northeastern and southwestern parts of the state.
Timing Out The Storm
A strong low pressure area will spread snow in the state before commuting Monday morning. Snow will become more stable and heavier by noon.
NBC Connecticut meteorologists believe travel will be treacherous for the evening shuttle.
Wind is also a concern during the storm
Along with heavy snow on Monday afternoon, the wind will start storming 30 to as high as 50 km / h. Extinction conditions can not be ruled out for a while on Monday afternoon.
