‘Batwoman’ sets Wales Day as a new, changed Kate Kane in Big Reveal – Deadline

Sunday night, Bat answers the lingering question: “What ever happened to Kate Kane?” Ever since Javicia Leslie put on the hood and lid as Batwoman (aka Ryan Wilder), Kate has remained a loose end, but the mystery has been solved tonight as Wales Day will step into the role once played by Ruby Rose.

Do not twist it – Leslie will continue to be Batwoman. In fact, the re-introduction of Kate Kane further strengthens Leslie’s place as the only Batwoman – and we must repeat that she is the first black actress to take on the role of the iconic superhero.

The second half of the season is going to reveal where Kate was and what it means for her character in the future. At the end of tonight’s episode, the audience discovers that Kate Kane is alive but unrecognizable due to injuries she sustained during the accident. She is connected and held hostage. That said, Day will be playing a modified version of Kate.

The British-born actress Wales Day is no stranger to the comic book world, as she starred as one of the main characters in the lead role Krypton. Her other TV credits include Jekyll and Hyde, Casanova, en The Royals. Day recently packed the feature film Never ending directed by Antoine Fuqua where she plays opposite Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Day repeated by Hamilton and UTA.
