An emotional video showing the friendship between two barbers is making the rounds on social media.
Neftali Martín and Joel Ortega both work for Lords and Barbers in Alicante, Spain. In a TikTok track posted by Martín on April 8, Ortega’s unexpected act of solidarity left Martin in tears.
The video shows Martin sitting in Ortega’s barber shop chair wearing a striped gown while Ortega shaves Martín’s head with a paring knife.
When Martin’s hair was up to a buzzcut, Ortega took the clippers in shock and started shaving his own head. Martin put his head in his hands and immediately started crying. Ortega gave himself a matching buzzcut, but Martin was so moved that he could hardly even look up to see it.
“‘You are not alone.’ These were the words of my great friend and co-worker, immediately afterwards he shaved his head and told me that until I grow up again, he will continue to shave with me, “Martin wrote in Spanish on Instagram. “For those who do not know him, Joel is not just a co-worker, for me a brother. I love you, brother. ”
The video garnered more than 10 million views and 2.5 million likes on TikTok.
“Man did not even hesitate to pick up his own hair,” said one user.
“I needed that recovery in humanity,” said another.
“Brother, I’m not crying, you’re crying,” someone wrote.
