‘AYTO’ star Gianna Hammer claims sexual assault on MTV

Gianna Hammer, a former participant in MTV’s “Are You the One?”, Claims a co-star “sexually assaulted” her on the set of the dating competition show – after she was allegedly given a pill by production .

Hammer – who had a role on season 5 in 2017 – claims she was assaulted by the nameless cast after the production allegedly gave one of her own prescribed pills to ‘calm down’ during a drunken fight, according to a new report by The Daily Animal.

“I was super confused, super nervous,” Hammer told the publication the morning after the alleged incident during the meeting with producers. ‘I remember I was shaky and did not know what was going on or that I was in trouble. Then they asked me if I remembered anything that happened last night. I said no. They’re starting to talk a little bit about what happened … and that’s when I’m really starting to think and see some flashes. ‘

Hammer said the man she accused of assault was not removed from the program.

A MTV spokesman told The Daily Beast in a statement: “We take these issues very seriously and have suspended production / casting to conduct an independent investigation into the allegations, the third party production company and our internal further review security protocols. “

Producers Lighthearted Entertainment denied Hammer’s allegations and told The Daily Beast he welcomed an investigation and would “cooperate with full transparency.”

“We are confident that any review of the safety protocols we have long put on the sets of ‘Are You The One?’ “Will confirm,” the company said in a statement. ‘We deny the allegations made by the former contestant; During the eight seasons of the program, no participant reported an incident of sexual assault to Lighthearted. ”

Hammer told The Daily Beast that before joining the program, she took a low-dose antidepressant Zoloft daily before going to bed. She said doctors advised her not to use it with alcohol – which flowed freely on the program – but was given the medicine every morning by a local doctor.

“Their logic was that I was not too much of it,” Hammer said. “If I take it early in the morning, it will not really affect me later in the night.”

That night, Hammer claims that before she was assaulted, she had a drunken oral argument with a cast. She said that one of the last things she remembers was that producers allegedly said “that I should calm down and that they were going to give me one of my medications.”

“I know my roommate said I kept telling them, ‘I’m not supposed to do this when I drink. I’m not supposed to do that when I drink. ‘They still said it was OK, and said it was not a high dose. So, I took it. ‘

“Finally, Hammer went to the bed of a male member of the male later that night, but pulled her out after her teammates heard her say ‘no,'” Hammer said.

‘I do not know how long it has been happening [another male cast member] heard me say ‘no’ to him, and he jumped off the bed and said, ‘Get off her,’ ‘Hammer said she was told of the alleged incident. ‘And [other cast members] pulled my kind out of bed. ‘

Hayden Weaver, another cast in season 5 of the show that began dating Hammer after filming, supported portions of her story from that night.

“I remembered looking at the room at one point, and there was a camera where Gianna was lying,” he said. ‘I could not see what exactly they were filming, but I assumed they were getting a few shots of people falling asleep that they could edit for the program. I realized this later [the male cast member] basically started touching her and they filmed it as if it was like a connection. ‘

Hammer and Weaver, who are the parents of a young boy, dated for about two years before they divorced.

Page Six appealed to representatives of MTV and Lighthearted Entertainment for comment.
