Armie Hammer’s wife, Elizabeth Chambers, is ‘shocked’ amid actor’s investigation into sexual assault, says source

Armie Hammer’s estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers, is “terrified” over the latest allegation of sexual assault against her actor husband.

A LA police spokesman told Fox News on Thursday that Hammer “is the main suspect in an alleged sexual assault investigation that began on February 3 this year.” The investigative news comes after a woman accused Hammer of rape and physical abuse. Hammer denied both allegations.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that Chambers, 38, is focusing on her children amid the investigation.

“Elizabeth is horrified to hear the latest allegations against Armie. Her first priority is her children and she wants to make sure her children feel loved and cared for during all this,” the source said.

The couple share two children – the daughter Harper (6) and a son, Ford (4.) They are divorced in July 2020 after ten years of marriage.

Attorney Gloria Allred held a press conference on Thursday during which she claims the now 34-year-old actor raped her client on April 24, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.

“He repeatedly hit my head against a wall that bruised my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me of which I did not agree,” she claims.

The woman claims the assault lasted longer than four hours and she tried to get away but he would not let me. She also claimed that Hammer abused her ‘mentally, emotionally and sexually’ during their relationship that lasted between 2016-2020 after he met him on Facebook.

“He has become increasingly violent,” the woman, now 24, claimed. “I thought he was going to kill me … He left without worrying about my well-being.”

She said after the alleged attack she was “traumatized” and she was “emotionally distressed and lost interest in life.”

Hammer denied the allegations through a lawyer in a statement to Fox News.

“[The woman’s] own correspondence with mr. Hammer undermines and refutes her outrageous allegations. Already on 18 July 2020, [the woman] has graphic texts to mr. Hammer sent to tell her what she wanted him to do to her. Mr. Hammer responded and made it clear that he did not want to maintain that kind of relationship with her, “said Andrew Brettler of Lavely and Singer.

“It was never Mr. Hammer’s intent to embarrass or expose [the woman]’s fetishes or kinky sexual desires, but she has now taken this matter to another level by hiring a civil lawyer to host a public press conference, “the statement read. Hammer’s lawyer also claims that the star has ‘hundreds’ of screenshots that the woman sent him about the nature of their relationship.

The lawyer shared an alleged quote from an Instagram story of the woman and said: “I’m not saying he raped me, no legal representative needed.”

Allred told Fox News: ‘I challenge Armie Hammer to present all his communications, not some. [the woman] to the Los Angeles Police Department and answer all their questions directly rather than through his attorneys. ‘
