Announcement of the President of the Bank of Latin America: denunciation of pressure on the part of Argentina

The executive president of the Bank of America’s Development Bank (CAF), Luis Carranza, will take over his cargo in April, one year before the presentation, informs this March of the financial institution -con central seat in Caracas- in a communication.

The institution maintains that it has four years of management “a cycle that represents a point of inflection in itself” given that the president is now “objectively preserving the institutionalism of CAF, increase its efficiency and respond to the words that ”.

Of Peruvian nationality, Luis Carranza Ugarte was elected by the majority as CAF executive president at an extraordinary meeting of the institution’s directive on December 13, 2016.

Carranza fue Minister of Economy and Finance of Peru on two occasions, in addition to an economic detachment working in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and holding the jaffa for Latin America and Emerging Markets of BBVA in Spain.

The executive is licensed in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, has conducted degree studies that he holds the title of Ph.D. and Master of Economics at the University of Minnesota.

Before taking over the presidency of the CAF, he was appointed Director of the Center for Competitiveness for the Development of the University of San Martin de Porres.
