Lindsey Boylan claims that the Democratic governor kissed her on the lips in 2018 after a one-on-one briefing in his New York office.
“When I got up to walk to an open door, he walked in front of me and kissed me on the lips,” Boylan wrote, describing the encounter. “I was shocked, but kept walking.” Boylan first accused the governor of sexual harassment in a Twitter thread in December.
In the same statement, the office also issued a denial to four current and former staff members about a specific interaction on a flight in which Boylan says the governor suggested they play strip poker. The four staff members who flew with Cuomo and Boylan said it never happened.
Cuomo also vehemently denied the allegations during a December press conference when Boylan first made them.
CNN could not confirm the allegations, and Boylan asked further questions to answer that she let her Medium post speak for itself.
However, the post again posted a series of bad news for the Cuomo government.
Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, a Democrat, on Wednesday issued a statement saying the accusation was “disturbing”.
“This is deeply disturbing. It is clear that there is no place for this kind of behavior in the workplace or elsewhere,” Stewart-Cousins wrote.
Boylan is currently running for president of the borough of Manhattan. She ran a Democratic primary in 2015 for Rep. Jerry Nadler challenged.
