Ana De Armas makes it absolutely clear that she’s not with Ben Affleck again

Much like that cardboard cut out, the relationship of Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas is still in the landfill.

Months after two, the stars split after less than a year of going out and probably liters of shared Dunkin ‘iced coffee between them, the speculation that they had reconciled, swirled on the internet.

It all started when the “Knives Out” actor posted a seemingly standard selfie on Instagram over the weekend showing her post-Ben-bob. In the photo, she was wearing a necklace-necklace with a heart emoji.

Eagle-eyed fans noted that Affleck and De Armas often wore identical versions of the accessory in the deluge of paparazzi photos of the former couple during their whirlwind quarantine romances during the summer. When the two ended it in January, many assumed that the jewels would be put on ice, a symbol of a cold love that would soon be forgotten.

Fans were therefore immediately convinced that the revival of the chain in De Armas’ selfie indicates that she and Affleck are trying it again.

But, as it turns out, a necklace might just be a necklace.

After sharing the photo, De Armas followed up the message with another Instagram story featuring a series of stickers with the words “no”, “no” and “I do not think so” across a black screen, in addition to a finger peace sign, apparently to close the speculation.

While at the moment it certainly seems like De Armas is single, she describes her breakup with Affleck as relatively friendly, and it seems to have stayed close.

“It’s something that was mutual and something that’s completely friendly,” an unnamed source told People at the time, and two of them “still talk regularly.”

‘They are at different points in their lives; there is deep love and respect there, ”the source said. “Ben still wants to work on himself. He has three jobs and he is a steady father at home. They are both happy with where they are in their lives. ”

Neither party has addressed the rift in public. The brother of Justice League actor Casey Affleck was quite unexpectedly the most outspoken.

After denying that he was the one who threw a cardboard lid of De Armas in the trash, the younger Affleck honestly admitted that ‘this year has been very difficult for people in relationships’.

“I think she’s a catch in every way,” he told Entertainment Tonight about De Armas. ‘And I’ll be there to carry Ben through it, but I do not think he’s going to have any problems. [either]. My advice to them would be, “Yeah, think about it for a long time, because quarantine is not nice when you’re alone.” ‘
