“American Idol” contestant Funke Lagoke dropped first face on stage during Monday’s face-off while waiting to hear if she would advance to the competition. (See full performance and incident below.)

Lagoke and Ronda Felton have just completed their duet section for Hollywood Week, and judge Lionel Richie has criticized their performance.

‘Funke, you’ve come to an end. The problem is … ”Richie said before Lagoke fainted and landed with a disturbing knock.

Panelist Luke Bryan ran on stage to help staff members attend Lagoke. They turned her on her back before paramedics arrived to send her out on a gurney.

Lagoke was treated in a hospital for dehydration and released, the program reported.

Meanwhile, Richie Felton announced that the two would return to “American Idol” for the showstopper round.

“I can not say at this moment that I am happy; I am more concerned about her health,” Felton said. “I feel this is the most important thing right now. I just want to let her know that I love her, that I care about her, I want her to be OK. ”

The incident unfolds as early as 5 p.m.
