Amanda Kloots reveals that months’ after Nick Cordero’s death ‘she is finally ready to go to therapy’

Amanda Kloots shared a vulnerable message about wanting to stay ‘positive and active’ while still mourning the death of her husband, Nick Cordero, who passed away in July.

The 38-year-old co-presenter of CBS ‘The Talk’ decided to seek professional help, despite her best efforts to find the big loss alone.

‘New year was difficult for me. I cried more recently than a while. “I thought Christmas would be hard, it was worse,” she revealed in her Instagram story.

She continued: ‘I think it’s because, when the new year comes, you want a clean sheet or forget about last year, especially 2020. But I can not forget about last year and will not be able to clean the slate not.’

It is understandable that the single parent, who welcomed her and Cordero’s almost two-year-old son Elvis in 2019, said she was ‘slightly scared of what might happen in a year’.

After going through Kloots for the past six months, Kloots explained that everything she endured was ‘finally catching up’ to her.

“I’m finally ready to go to therapy to address the trauma,” she said after watching 94 days of Broadway stars battling COVID-19-related complications.

Kloots also noted that he reminded others that they are not alone in their grief and that it helped her to be candid about her ongoing grief.

She added: ‘I share it all as my continued honesty about sadness and loss. How it decreases and flows changes a lot. How it hides you and then finds. How it’s a journey, not just a week. How it continues to struggle even though I am positive and active. ‘

In a painful description, the beauty admitted that her pain made her cry for “two seconds or two hours” for days.

“How it makes you feel so lonely and confused,” she remarked sadly. “To be honest, acknowledging it all instead of hiding it helped me. I hope this helps you. ‘

Kloots broke the deadlock with the Tony nominee in 2017 after first meeting on the set of the musical Bullets Over Broadway in 2014.

Nick was unconscious when he was first admitted to the hospital, and he was initially misdiagnosed with pneumonia.

The star of the waitress later tested positive for the new coronavirus on April 1st.

From there, Nick’s battle went from one complication to the next, as he was placed in a ventilator and had problems with blood clots, which eventually led to the amputation of his right leg.

Too soon gone: Over his heavy fight, Nick was able to get off the ventilator and wake up from his coma, but the infection left his body and lungs so weak that he could never fully recover.

He also received a temporary pacemaker and went into a medically induced coma.

Cordero’s death was announced by a woman in a heartbreaking message on Instagram.

‘I’m unbelieving and hurt everywhere. My heart is broken because I can not imagine my life without him. Nick was such a bright light. ‘

Amanda explained that Nick ‘was everyone’s friend, wanted to listen, help and especially talk’ and that he was ‘an amazing actor and musician’.

“He loved his family and loved father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him every day in everything we do, ‘said Kloots.

She thanks the medical team that helped her husband in his turbulent months-long health battle.

Despite everything, his wife Amanda remained a beacon of positivity and kept her Instagram followers informed of his stop-and-start progress.

She will begin her close work at The Talk on Monday, alongside Elaine Welteroth, who replaces former panelists Marie Osmond and Eve.
