Alexander Wang calls allegations of sexual assault ‘unfounded and grotesquely false’

After days of silence amid multiple accusations of sexual misconduct, fashion designer Alexander Wang has released a statement denying all the allegations against him.

“The last few days I’ve been on the receiving end of unfounded and grotesque false accusations,” Wang said. “These allegations were falsely corroborated by social media accounts that are notorious for posting defamatory material from unknown and / or anonymous sources, with no evidence or any factual investigation. It was furious to see these lies that I was immortalized as truths. I have never engaged in the descriptive abominable behavior and would never behave as claimed. I intend to take note of this and be responsible for whoever is responsible for the origin of these allegations and their malicious distribution online. ”

The Instagram watchdog’s Instagram account @ShitModelMgmt first posted anonymous stories of the New York designer drugging men and trans models and sexually harassing or assaulting them. These stories come after a model named Owen Mooney claimed that a ‘very famous fashion designer’ touched him in a club in 2017.

“I was alone at one point, and this guy next to me obviously benefited from the fact that no one could fucking move and he was just starting to touch me,” Mooney said. “And like my leg, in my crotch, like it made me completely freeze because I was so shocked.” He later confirmed that the man he was referring to was Wang.

@ShitModelMgmt spent much of this week posting screenshots of anonymous instant messages where the authors accuse Wang of predators. Some of the allegations have a similar theme: according to these victims, Wang offered bottles of water they did not know MDMA had summed up. These stories remain unverified.
