Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore still has the skills 25 years after the Dennis Dugan movie premiered. Sandler celebrated Happy Gilmore ‘‘s 25th year of existence on Twitter by displaying his golf club in a video.
‘It’s been 25 years since I did that. Let’s see what happens. Shooter McGavin, it’s for you, ”says Sandler, dedicating his impressive set to his rival on screen. ‘I’m not lying to you. It’s crushed. Crush. It went pretty well. You’re dead, Shooter. ‘
In the film, Sandler plays as a retired hockey player who tests his golf skills to save his grandmother’s house. Sandler stars alongside Julie Bowen, Frances Bay and Christopher McDonald, who appeared as Shooter McGavin.
However, Sandler was not the only one to channel his Happy Gilmore character to celebrate the film. Shortly after the Hubie Halloween McDonald’s own response to Sandler’s golf challenge shot and shared it on Twitter.
‘Nice ride, Gilmore. 25 years, right? Let’s see if it’s a shooter tour, ”McDonald said before shooting a golf ball into a glass on the floor.
‘Thank you so much to all the fans and thank you to you, Adam Sandler, and why not just meet me at the ninth green at 9, Gilmore? “Oh and Gllmore, wear something beautiful,” McDonald continued.
