A 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after being stabbed inside a McDonald’s on Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh, tweeted at about 3:10 p.m. Saturday.
Police told WPXI the boy was part of a family of four standing in line when a ‘random’ man approached and stabbed the boy in the neck. The police and EMS responded to the call just after 14:00
The boy was transported to a hospital while a man was arrested.
An investigation is continuing, police said. Detectives from the major crime and crime scene units process the scene, review video evidence and speak to eyewitnesses.
People are asked to avoid the area of Liberty Avenue and Stanwix Street.
