Paramount again moves the release date for A Quiet Place, Part II. The horror / thriller sequel will air wide on September 17, 2021.
The new date is the fourth for the opening of the film. Paramount was originally scheduled to open in US theaters on March 20, 2020, a date rendered unworkable by the mushroom of the local version of the coronavirus pandemic.
From there, it was moved to September 4, 2020, but it was derailed by the persistent virus outbreak. It was then sent to April 2021, as speculation circulated that the film would bend on the ViacomCBS streaming service. Now it’s back on the stage.
In its new finale, the film will perform by 20th century studios Death on the Nile, Universal’s The Boss Baby: Family Business, and Sony Pictures’ The man from Toronto.
Following in the footsteps of John Krasinski, the Abbott family now has to face the horrors of the outside world as they quietly fight for survival. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize that the creatures that hunt for sound are not the only threats lurking outside the sandy road.
The first installment of A quiet place was a big hit for Paramount in 2018, with $ 188 million in the US and more than $ 340 million worldwide.
