Vampires are immortal unless a Slayer puts a stake in them. But the actors portraying it are all too human and therefore aging as we all do.
That’s why Sarah Michelle Gellar says she believes she’s long in the tooth ‘for any potential Buffy The Vampire Slayer reload.
The actress is now 43 years old and is commenting while appearing on the On with Mario Lopez podcast. While still looking remarkably young, Gellar said the show needs a teenager in the role of The Slayer.
Gellar claims she is a ‘Woe beet, how do they say, long in the tooth for it.’ The monsters Buffy faced were a metaphor for the horrors of adolescence, she explained. ‘I do think the story lends itself, it will be interesting to see how a chosen person handles it. I do not think it’s me, I should not be the one doing it. ”
She added that she was “completely too tired and insane to do the job again.”
