Comedian Chris D’Elia speaks for the first time in months since denying allegations of sexual harassment.
In a YouTube video released Friday, D’Elia said his relationships had been “consensus” in the past, but admitted that after months of therapy, he now understands that his attitude and actions around sex were wrong.
“I insist that all my relationships were consensus and legal. That’s the truth. I went through this kind of time after a lot of medical advice, therapy and stuff like that. What I came to understand is always for me about sex. My life was sex, it controlled my life, “says D’Elia.
The comedian further admits that he ‘had a problem’ and still does.

“It’s not like months later, but everything is better. I have to work on it,” D’Elia said.
The funny man, who is 40, reflects on his thirties to travel. He admitted that he felt ‘happy’ at the time because his fame made it easier to find women to have sex with.
“I felt like ‘Oh woe, I do not have to work so hard. I can just do a show and then have sex or roll to a city and look at my mailbox and then start writing,’ and I did it. done, man, “Recognize D’Elia.

“I realize through all this stuff that doing just treating sex as if it’s comfortable and flipping with people. It’s not the man I want to be, it’s not OK, and I’m sorry for that. It makes me feel ashamed and it makes me feel bad, ”he adds.
D’Elia said he is committed to continuing recovery, acknowledging that he is working to be a role model for his son.

The cartoon first addressed allegations of sexual misconduct against him last June.

“I know I said and did things that could offend people in my career, but I have never scientifically pursued any underage women at any stage,” D’Elia said in a statement Wednesday.
“All my relationships were legal and consensual and I have never met or exchanged inappropriate photos with the people who tweeted about me,” he said.

The stand-up comic added: “That being said, I’m really sorry. I was a dumb man who absolutely let me get caught up in my lifestyle. It’s my fault. I own it. I’ve been thinking for some time time for this after. now and I promise I will continue to do better. ‘
The comedian started recruiting heat from users after one woman on Twitter emerged with allegations Tuesday that she could not detect D’Elia “as a pedophile” in Netflix’s series “You.”
