Eagle-eyed fans could guess the name of Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid’s baby daughter before the couple announced it.
The supermodel, 25, quietly added ‘Khai’s mother’ to her Instagram biography on Thursday, revealing for the first time her daughter’s four-month-old daughter.
After the big announcement, fans of the former One Direction singer (28) noticed that Malik had unveiled a new tattoo of Khai’s name in Arabic during an Instagram Live he had done days before.
The design is on the wrist of the star and is written in red ink.
The name is presumably a wink to the model’s grandmother, whose name is Khairiah. It could also be a tribute to Sister Bella Hadid, whose middle name is Khair.
Malik was covered from head to toe in tattoos and even paid tribute to Hadid by having her eyes inked in the middle of his chest.
The couple has been buzzing for the past few months about how much they love their daughter, with Hadid watching her chic nursery and designers, and Malik thanks for making her a ‘mom’ and recalling a grueling fashion week when she was secretly pregnant.
Malik announced Khai’s birth in September, saying: ‘The love I feel for this little person is beyond my comprehension. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and grateful for the life we will have together. ”
