zack snyder's Justice League is a movie

Zack Snydersay Justice League has changed from a movie, to a years-long internet campaign, to a miniseries, and now back to a movie. This is according to the filmmaker himself, who has revealed some new details of his highly anticipated “Snyder Cut” from Justice League, who is coming to HBO Max this year.

Another day, another Vero update from Zack Snyder, who used the social media platform (of which he is apparently the only high profile) to reveal that the current title Zack Snyder’s Justice League will no longer be released as miniseries. Instead, it will be released as a ‘one-shot’ movie, while answering a fan asking if the project is a series or a movie (via The Playlist).

This is a major change of plans for both Snyder and HBO Max, the latter of which did not confirm the filmmaker’s comments. Snyder himself initially called it a series, and Warner Bros. and HBO Max marketed a lot Zack Snyder’s Justice League as a four- or five-part miniseries, hoping the project will bring more subscribers to the WarnerMedia streaming platform.

Taking into account Snyder’s recent remarks about a theatrical release of the project and an R rating, his new confirmation is that his version Justice League will be a movie may not be a complete surprise. He even referred to it as a ‘movie’ before, saying, ‘Here’s one piece of information no one knows: the movie is insane and so epic and is probably rated R – it’s one thing I think will happen, that it’s an R-rated version, for sure. We have not heard of the MPAA yet, but it’s my gut. ”

Snyder also recently said that his ‘ideal version’ of Justice League “Is the black-and-white IMAX version of the movie,” an idea HBO Max humorously released with the release of a black-and-white trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. It should be noted that none of these new elements are confirmed, nor likely, and given the pandemic as it is, it is difficult to imagine Snyder receiving the theatrical release he wants. What the whole thing is now a movie instead of a series? Well, we’ll have to see what HBO Max has to say in the coming weeks.

In Zack Snyder’s Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand up to this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of these unprecedented league heroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash – it may be too late to save the planet from an onslaught of catastrophic proportions.
