Zack Snyder’s Justice League Cameo Revealed – / Movie

justice league kamee

Yesterday, Vanity Fair published an in-depth piece on making Zack Snyder’s Justice League who suggested that the relocation of the four-hour project would be a heroic comedy that would blow the minds of stubborn fans. ‘Of course, fans immediately started speculating about what the como might be, with Ryan Jordan, Hal Jordan – AKA Green Lantern from WB’s 2011 live-action film – getting a possible contender. Reynolds took to Twitter and deny that he participated in the project, but the fan community has been burned out by denials before, so I think some stubborn people are still wondering if the reaction was just a smokescreen to hide a surprise from Reynolds before the credit roll starts.

Now the cameo has been revealed. If you want to go in fresh, turn back now – there will be spoil ahead.

When I first saw the Vanity Fair quote circulating, a small portion of me wondered if the como might have been J’onn J’onzz, the shape-shifting alien known as The Martian Manhunter, as played by the actor. Harry Lennix. The reason my mind immediately went there was because Lennix had spoken openly within the past week about the fact that Snyder had contacted her and been asked to return for re-recordings (more on this in a moment).

According to a report by io9 it appears that, yes, the Martian Manhunter is the new Zack Snyder’s Justice League cameo presented by Vanity Fair.

This amounts to a classic case of semantics: it seems as if the wording of the FF article appears imply that the cameo was a secret, but never explicitly stated. I would also give a guess that ‘stubborn fans’ are the kind of people who are constantly searching the internet for more information on the Snyder Cut and would therefore already be aware of Lennix’s role in this film. Oh, well. Apologies to fans hoping for something more world-shaking.

In October of 2019, Snyder revealed on social media that a scene between Martha Kent (Diane Lane) and Lois Lane (Amy Adams) would have ended in its ideal cut with Martha walking away and standing in Martian Manhunter before finally in the form of Harry Lennix’s General Swanwick, a character who appeared in Snyder’s 2013 film Man of steel. And just five days ago, Lennix was interviewed by Variety and talked about the appearance in this new part of Justice League. “The next call I had from Zack was, ‘Hey, when can you come in and shoot? ” Lennix said. “It was wonderful. I found out it was a possibility, or at least that Martian Manhunter would be in it, when he revealed through the storyboard that Martha Kent was coming to visit Lois, and after she left, she revealed herself in fact , Calvin Swanwick, or the Martian Manhunter. So I knew about it. ”

I wondered if it was a rendition of the scene that made the play in which Martha comes through the Daily Planet to visit Lois, but because this revelation by Martian Manhunter is presumably part of the end of the film, it’s probably a completely different creation.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League debut on March 18, 2021 on HBO Max.
