Yu Yu Hakusho Genkai Battle Spirits is One Step Closer to Start

Mobcast Games has opened pre-registration in Japan for the upcoming mobile title Yu Yu Hakusho Genkai Slaggeeste. Originally planned for release again in 2019, the game now appears again with a new promotion, new key art and an updated website. Mobcast Games did not provide a release window, but people in the region can sign up. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The title appeared in Jump Festa articles in 2019, when it was supposed to start. The game was never released, but the company has announced that it will be developed again in November 2020. To commemorate the opening of pre-registration, Mobcast Games has launched a new website and released a web ad featuring singer Maki Goto.

The upcoming title will be played for free with optional microtransactions. The game will be an action RPG with leveling mechanics. Mobcast Games is currently offering a promotion where players can earn bonus money in the game. Depending on how many people pre-register for the title, the developer will give the tentative name Rurimaru. The first milestone will make the players 150 Rurimaru if 50,000 people pre-register.

Yu Yu Hakusho Genkai Slaggeeste is released on Android and iOS devices in Japan. In addition, the IP makes a comeback in more ways than one. Netflix and Toho Studios are currently working on a pre-production of a live action Yu Yu Hakusho series.
