YouTube TV lets you download programs to watch offline

By paying YouTube for the main service and Music, you can download content for offline access. YouTube TV lets you download media for offline access soon.

After updating the application to version 5.06.2 of YouTube TV, it will generate an “incomplete downloads notification” system notification when you open the app. This warning is very similar to the one in the main YouTube program and YouTube Music.

The ability to download programs or movies is not yet live, but the warning (and a new notification channel) is definitely a chance that the functionality will be available soon and that technical support will be included with the latest version.

There will presumably be different restrictions on how long content is available offline, while it is not clear whether everything can be downloaded. There may be channel-by-channel requirements to this capability.

Meanwhile, strings in the app confirm the offline ability. YouTube TV will alert you if you do not have an internet connection, and will send you to a download page to watch everything offline. A download button should appear when you watch an application in an experience that the main client of YouTube should know.
