Streamer Valkyrae introduces the possibility of shutting down the popular OfflineTV server for Rust after problems with sadness.
While Twitch may have some healthy moments like viewers suggested Pikachulita live in her stream, the popular streaming platform could also be a hot bed for drama and controversy. With a hobby as massive as games, there will definitely be problems when some of Twitch’s most popular influencers get together.
This recent controversy has revolved around Rust, a general survival game and the server offered by OfflineTV, a dedicated group of content creators focusing on prank videos and vlogs, as well as game content. This server is frequently used by streamers to showcase their content, where it was recently the source of drama following xQc, a popular streamer that Shroud predicted the server would implode.
Valkyrae, who hosts the server, suggested that she would eventually have to turn off the server after a recent conflict with xQc and the lesser known streamer, Ash_on_lol. During a session of Rust, xQc harassed Ash because she was not as helpful as he expected, which caused Ash to hit him back and demand that he be kinder to her. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter, Ash received death threats from some of xQc’s fans, and some even pointed out that she would kill herself. Since then, xQc has apologized for the incident, but the damage could be too far if Valkyrae decides to shut down the server in response to his actions.

Shroud has another solution with him that suggests that xQc should simply be banned from the server, but whether Valkyrae plans to do so is up in the air. Valkyrae apologized to her friends who did not play nicely on the server, although she did say that she herself enjoyed the heat and chaos of the server, although the negativity was the crux of the matter.
Shroud is not the only streamer that has openly released xQc and its label. Dr Disrespect also criticized the Quebec-based streamer for playing the cartoon tower defense game Bloons.
At the moment, it is in the air whether Valkyrae will eventually reset or turn off the server, although it is possible to create specific safe zones on the server for players who want to play less dramatically. Rust is currently one of the most watched games on Twitch, so if the server is neat, it can definitely hinder streamers who rely on it for their streams.
