KLEVELAND – U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman has issued a warning to Northeast Ohio residents who traveled to Washington DC to protest the certification of elected President-elect Joe Biden. He said everyone who participated in the illegal acts in the chaos would be prosecuted.

Herdman announced last month that he would leave office in January. The first assistant of the American lawyer, Bridget Brennan, will take over his role this month.

Early Wednesday morning, hundreds of Donald Trump supporters traveled by bus to Washington to join the planned protests. About 250-300 fans were seen with signs and flags as they boarded the bus departing from Garfield Heights just after 2 p.m.

Police say they believe that protesters could enter the Capitol building by throwing out chemical irritants in law enforcement.

Metropolitan police confirm that one person was shot dead inside the Capitol.

Elected President Joe Biden said the events were not a protest but an ‘uprising’ and called on President Trump to ‘act’.
