Ever wanted to play as Bernie Sanders in Bandai Namco’s Soulcalibur 6? Of course you did, and now a new mod brings the mitten-wearing politician to the stage of history.
The image of Sanders sitting on his folding chair, arms crossed, wearing a mask and wearing his infamous gloves has been burned into the consciousness of anyone who has been on the internet for the past few weeks.
Excessive memes have circulated the U.S. Senator for Vermont sitting at the Biden inauguration, but perhaps the most commendable effort comes Gebruiker619 and JoeMashups who managed to get Sanders into the game and cheat him over fellow chair lover Azwel (thank you, NME).
Granted, the game already has a pretty robust customization suite that allows creative players to come up with some awful characters, but this one was made with a mod using a model created by JoeMashups on Twitter.
There may not be any animation for the Stoic character, but it does make the whole thing funnier, really – watch Sanders move expressionlessly on stage and destroy enemies from the comfort of his chair … it’s quite cool.
However, you have to be careful with the personal characters you bring into the online modes of the game: you can be banned from playing Soulcalibur 6 if they are too ‘inappropriate’.
