Yale University and Columbia University have told students that they must receive a COVID-19 vaccine if students want to stay on campus in the fall and add their names to the list of colleges that require vaccination.

Yale also posted its new guidelines, saying that ‘there is ample evidence of the efficacy of the vaccines and that there is growing confidence that vaccines will be widely available by early summer.

Yale will make exemptions on religious and medical grounds.

The new policy means that half of Ivy League universities need vaccinations for students returning in the fall.
