Like i said, it’s a little rough to go back and older play Yakuza games in 2021, and not just because of the tighter animation and lack of first-person perspective. The computer versions of Yakuzas 3, 4 & 5 also had (or had) some technical hiccups.
A few weeks ago muddy Silent – which we covered a few years ago did much the same thing for Yakuza 0– has its own patch for Yakuzas 3 & 4, which fixed things like too much CPU usage and crashes that would happen if a fight with a heat movement were to end (the ideal way to end a fight!).
Sega then released their own official patch that did … mostly the same things! With everything right, it was time to look Yakuza 5, where he managed to fix problems, such as once again excessive CPU usage, problems with dynamic resolution and a strange error where someone with non-ASCII characters in their name would have an accident if they use the photo stalls of the game.
Maybe Sega will come together later and fix those with an official update, but if they do not, or if you want to fix it now, you can download Silent’s unofficial patch here.
