Y2K strikes back? Users report an interesting bug in Samsung’s One UI 3.0

Samsung has introduced its updated One UI 3.0 skin to many of its devices over the past few weeks, but it seems like a mysterious bug has emerged with the new year.

Like the people at GalaxyClub reports, a minor software issue in which battery and charge statistics have been running low since the beginning of the year. The issue appears to be affecting a number of Samsung devices with Android 11 and One UI 3.0, including the flagship Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 family.

Battery stats are available on most modern Android devices under Settings, and this particular feature is one of the parts of Samsung’s user interface that has been revamped to give you extra insight into your usage cycles and charging times. Of course, this requires your device to collect and process data based on your actual use.

Unfortunately, many users report that the menu appears to be empty. Only the basic information about how long your phone will last before it needs another supplement appears, with additional information such as average usage patterns appearing completely (and noticeably) blank.

It is currently not known exactly what is causing or causing the problem. Samsung has yet to officially acknowledge the issue, but fortunately it is not a big mistake. Hopefully the technology giant will release a software update to address the issue soon.

Do you have a device with One UI 3.0, and if so, did you see the error appear?
