Xbox will reportedly hold its next news event ‘in the coming weeks’

Xbox Game Studios (Microsoft) [1,225 articles]”href =” https://www.videogameschronicle.com/companies/microsoft/ “> Microsoft is hosting a ‘What’s Next for Gaming’ event this month, according to a new report.

ZDnet journalist Mary Jo Foley claims that the game-oriented virtual event will take place “in the coming weeks”, in addition to Microsoft’s annual Build conference, which is confirmed to take place in May.

Since Build is a developer-focused event, it’s likely that any game window will focus on the platform itself rather than on games, but Foley notes that it stands apart from the developer-focused Game Stack that was even listed in April.

So far in 2021, Microsoft has adopted a strategy to hold smaller, more frequent news events. Last month, it hosted an extensive ID @ Xbox exhibition, and also announced an event dedicated to Age of Empires.
