Xbox Live’s online platform for console gamers experienced a major disruption on Thursday, with gamers worldwide take to Twitter to report login issues.
“We are aware that users may not be able to sign in to Xbox Live at this time,” said the company’s support account tweeted Thursday afternoon. “Our teams are currently investigating to resolve this issue.”

The break appears to have started on Thursday shortly after noon PT. This is not the first Xbox break in recent memory – the platform hit a tough patch in 2020 several interruptions as gamers streamed onto the platform for pandemic-behaved entertainment.
“We will update here and at http://xbox.com/status when we have more information to share,” the company added on Twitter.
