Xbox Live Gold on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S could get a huge price increase. Currently, Xbox players have three options for Xbox Live Gold: one month for $ 10, three months for $ 25 and 6 months for $ 40. Microsoft previously offered a 12-month subscription for $ 60, but it was quietly discontinued last year. Similarly, the service costs more than PlayStation Plus, which still offers a 12-month subscription for $ 60. That said, it looks like Microsoft may be preparing to widen this gap.
On Reddit, one user shared a new image of a 6-month Xbox Live Gold subscription card in nature that costs $ 60. In other words, an Xbox Live Gold subscription that is $ 20 more than the current rate. Could it be fake? Of course, but this is not the only one that appears online, indicating that this is a bug or that Microsoft is going to significantly increase the price of the service.
If true, it would mean that Xbox Live Gold would cost double over the past year. This is a huge increase, and it will be received with significant setbacks, but it will probably also increase the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions, which could be the play. Currently, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which comes with Xbox Live Gold, costs only $ 15 per month.
