We are now in the second month of 2021, and for those who want to buy another Xbox Series X, the stock has not gotten much better. Although Microsoft’s next-generation console was launched three months ago, the Series X remains extremely difficult to find in stock, just like the Series S, although the small, digital console is usually easier to buy during stock. GameStop, for example, had almost an entire day of Series S bundles available earlier this week. Do not expect the Series X situation to improve much in the next few months, as Microsoft recently conceded that Xbox Series X | S shares, according to the New York Times, will be ‘at least until June’. The company apparently has every Xbox Series X | S unit he owned last quarter sold and did not share any specific stock news for 2021.
So what does this mean for those who want to buy another Xbox Series X or Series X? We’ll probably see a widespread Xbox stock only this summer, and you’ll probably not see one on the shelf at your local Walmart or Best Buy. However, this does not mean that buying one of the new Xbox consoles is impossible. Online retailers have so far sporadically offered smaller stocks online, so far a relatively large stock in all major retailers (the largest we have seen since Black Friday). The Xbox Series X and Series S are still going to sell out within minutes, so it’s a matter of luck and ready at the right time. Prior notice is rarely given for an Xbox Series X stock, but sometimes Walmart or GameStop will announce a previous stock.
If any retailers announce reload times for the Xbox Series X or S in the coming weeks, we’ll include the details here. It may take a few weeks before you get the system once you order it, so keep that in mind when planning a downtime. We have seen that some stores also offer expensive packages that are also available regularly. Others even offer occasional discounts on bundles with extra controllers, but this is relatively rare. As of now, you can not really find the console in retail stores without a pickup order.
While you can more easily buy the Xbox Series X over MSRP on retailer sites like StockX, we recommend waiting to buy the new Xbox for its $ 500 list price. Unless you’re really desperate, avoid expensive bundles that contain accessories and games that you do not really need.
Where to get the Xbox Series X | S for sale
Xbox Series X available at GameStop
GameStop revamped the Xbox Series X and Series S on January 27, but it was only available as a bundle. The retailer also revamped the series of S-bundles on 9 February.
Xbox Series X Available at Best Buy
We do not know when you will be able to buy an Xbox Series X from Best Buy again. Best Buy did not have any Xbox Series X or Series S units in stores in 2020, but the retailer said stock will be on store shelves this year. However, we do not know exactly when the stock is available in the store. We’ve seen next-generation consoles appear on Best Buy’s website without much warning. The Xbox Series S was last available on December 28th. It usually lasts longer than the Series X when refilled.
Xbox Series X Available at Walmart
Walmart last reopened the Xbox Series X and Series S on February 4, giving hopeful buyers (and retailers) about an hour’s notice. Walmart’s latest stock started at 12:00 PT / 15:00 ET and sold out immediately; the consoles were then offered every 10 minutes until they were finally sold out for good. Walmart’s inventory is particularly frustrating. While it’s easy to take notice in advance, it also ensures a large amount of traffic to the site at the same time, and you often do not even see the “Add to cart” button before it is sold out (or click on the “add” “basket button will display a message that the item is sold out.)
Xbox Series X Available at Amazon
We do not know when you will be able to buy an Xbox Series X from Amazon again. Amazon has very little Xbox Series X | S stock had since the consoles were first launched on November 10, and in the near future there is no more word on a stock. Amazon’s offers even say, “We do not know when and if it will be back in stock.”
Xbox X Series availability at Target
On January 24, the Xbox Series X last went on sale. This time, it was available for delivery rather than just in-store pickup, and the system does not appear to be immediately caught by bots.
Xbox Series X available from other retailers
Online Store Antonline tends to have Xbox bundles in stock fairly regularly, especially the Xbox Series S.
We’ve seen sporadic stock in the Microsoft Store, but it’s never been announced before. The latest Xbox stock in Microsoft’s own store was on January 25 during the evening.
If you miss stock at the big retailers, there are many units available for retailers like StockX, but willing to pay more than the price tag. At the moment, buyers are asking around $ 420 for the Series S and $ 700 for the Series X. If you do buy from a retailer, make sure the Xbox console you get has the right type of plug for your region.

The great thing about Xbox Series X accessories is that the vast majority of products that are compatible with Xbox One also work with the Series X and S, including headsets and controllers.
New Xbox Wireless Controllers released with the Xbox Series X and Series S are available in Carbon Black, Robot White and Shock Blue. They have a more ergonomic design; texture grips on the bumpers, triggers and backpack; and an Elite Controller-inspired hybrid D-pad for improved precision. The updated controllers also have a new integrated Share button to capture and record game moments.
Xbox Series X | S-Games and Game Pass Subscription
Microsoft is striving for its next-generation Xbox Game Pass subscription, which offers monthly access to a massive, rotating library of games, including the ability to play first-party games like Halo Infinite on the first day. New subscribers can register for $ 1 for their first Game Pass Ultimate month – do so before taking advantage of the Game Pass offers online. You will also receive an extra month of Game Pass Ultimate for free if you enable recurring billing (this must be disabled before using a code to receive the request).
