Xbox Games with Gold for February 2021: Gears 5, Resident Evil, more

Xbox Live Gold subscribers get five games, rather than the usual four, in February, not coincidentally the same month that the price of an Xbox Live Gold subscription rises by a dollar.

Rat 5, a staple of Xbox Game Pass since its launch in September 2019, is the extra game. It is available February 1 to February 28, both the Xbox One version and the Xbox Series X version launched next to the new console in November.

The other: The Resident Evil remake is also available all month. This is a timely choice in light of yesterday’s news about Resident Evil Village and the launch date of May 7, 2021. This is the remastered version of the 2002 console game, which was launched on Xbox One in 2015.

Indiana Jones and the Imperial Tomb, the 2003 action adventure for Xbox, is also available from February 1 to 15 and is backwards compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X. This is a timely choice in light of Microsoft ownership Bethesda Softworks’ announcement that MachineGames working on a brand new Indy adventure for the redesigned Lucasfilm Games label.

In the second half of the month, Dandara, the 2018 2D Metroidvania from the Brazilian studio Long Hat House, is free from February 16 to March 15 Lost Planet 2, Capcom’s third-person shooter for Xbox 360 for 2010, is available from February 16 to February 28.

Capcom also has the Dead Rising remaster available until February 15 (it’s part of the January Games With Gold series). Bandai Namco is the publisher behind the other two games available until the end of January: Break down, the 2004 Xbox Action Adventure, and Little nightmares, the 2017 puzzle platform.
