In a follow-up blog post on Xbox Wire, Xbox also said that a handful of these will eventually benefit from FPS Boost on Xbox Series X | S and says he will be able to share more about this soon.
Xbox CEO Phil Spencer also made a firm, specific statement about the future of existing Bethesda games and franchises on other platforms – something that has been of concern to many people who play Bethesda titles on PlayStation or elsewhere, and who he has addressed with similar, if not quite so specific, in the past.“I obviously can’t sit here and say that every Bethesda game is exclusive,” Spencer said. “Because we know this is not true. There are contractual obligations that we will go through, as we always will in all these cases. We have games that exist on other platforms, and we are going to support the games. On the platforms on which they are. There are players from communities, we love those communities and we will continue to invest in them. And even in the future there may be things that have contractual things or legacy on different platforms, that we are going to do.
“But if you’re an Xbox customer, this is what I want you to know, it’s about delivering fantastic exclusive games that are shipped on platforms where Game Pass exists. That’s our goal, that’s why we do it, it’s the root of this partnership we’re building and the creative ability we can bring to Xbox customers will be the best it has ever been for Xbox after we’re done here. ‘
