WWE WrestleMania Backlash Match Revealed, T-BAR and Mace Join Bobby Lashley?

WWE has announced the first game for the upcoming Pay-per-view of WrestleMania Backlash, and it’s a rematch of WrestleMania 37 Night One.

In RAW tonight, Drew McIntyre defeated Braun Strowman and Randy Orton in a triple threat to become the new No. 1 candidate for WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. According to the stipulation, McIntyre against Lashley for the WWE title is now official for the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view.

Lashley only retained his McIntyre title on Saturday during Night One of WrestleMania 36.

After the # 1 Contender’s Triple Threat on RAW, MVP came on stage and stood there as McIntyre watched from the ring. Former RETIREMENT members T-BAR and Mace then fall from behind and pull out McIntyre in the middle of the ring. MVP apparently arranged the hit. The RAW After WrestleMania went off the air with T-BAR and Mace watching from the bottom of the driveway while MVP watched from the stage, and McIntyre all stared from the ring.

As for Lashley’s status, he appeared earlier in the show for a pre-recorded arrival segment, defeating Riddle in the title game without a title. He was advertised to give his All Mighty address and when MVP came out later for the segment, he promised that Lashley would join him, but Lashley was never seen again. The segment that was supposed to be the All Mighty Address changed into the segment around the main event Orton vs. McIntyre vs. To set up Strowman.

There’s no word yet on why Lashley never came out again, but we’ll keep you posted.

The WWE Backlash pay-per-view events usually feature reruns of WrestleMania shows.

WrestleMania Backlash takes place on May 16 from the WWE ThunderDome at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
