WWE stock report: Kevin Owens’ future of WrestleMania is uncertain

Some places do power rankings. Here at Cageside we do a stock report.

In this weekly series, we identify three Superstars (or groups of Superstars) that are on the move, and three that are moving in the opposite direction. After a busy week that included Elimination Room 2021 and all the consequences thereof, many fortunes have been changed.

With that in mind, let’s look at whose stocks declined the most this week:

Stock # 3: Randy Orton

Randy Orton’s callous chatter about the conversion of the other five men in the extermination chamber match into his victims seemed rather silly when he became the first man eliminated in the match. The next evening (February 22) Raw, Blamed Orton for his early room exit because he was distracted by Alexa Bliss, even though she was nowhere near the room match. Then he vomited some black liquid. It was very dumb.

Stock # 2: Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens’ time in the spotlight Consider has apparently come to an end. After months of squabbling with Roman Reigns, Owens was quickly brought down by Jey Uso in the Elimination Chamber match, and his chase for the Universal Championship went off with a moan. Daniel Bryan and Edge now seem to be the best bet to face Reigns Fast track and WrestleMania, respectively, it is not clear what lies ahead for Owens during the biggest event of the year.

Owens does not agree well with Seth Rollins, considering they were in the fight last year WrestleMania 36 using the same Messiah storyline, and Rollins currently has his hands full with Cesaro. The next level of male heels Consider includes Apollo Crews, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, King Corbin, Otis and Dolph Ziggler. It’s not clear that a one-on-one match between Owens and any of these wrestlers is a big draw to discuss. WrestleMania. This means that there is currently a lot of uncertainty about Owens’ place on the WrestleMania card when he fell from the main event scene.

Stock # 1: Riott Group

Tamina pinned Ruby Riott a week ago, and this week (February 26) it was Liv Morgan’s turn to do the job. Billie Kay was not even this time to give a distraction for the loss. Tamina winning matches are something WWE creative does offline WrestleMania in the year 2021, and it goes at the expense of the Riott group.

Let’s now look at whose stock has increased the most this week:

Stock # 3: Alpha Academy

Chad Gable’s Alpha Academy finally shows positive results for Otis. The great man is guided by Gable’s teachings, and this has helped them to a victory of the brand team over the Mysterios on Consider. The combination of Gable and Otis looks like a win-win situation. Gable can show off his personality and charm, while Otis Rey can bump Mysterio with bumps from the middle rope. Maybe Tucker should consider enrolling at Alpha Academy next year.

Stock # 2: Apollo Crews

Apollo’s heel twist also comes with a gimmick change. Crews has adopted its Nigerian kingdom heritage and is now an example of wealth, domination and power. He defeats Shinsuke Nakamura Consider and his sights on Big E’s Intercontinental Championship.

Stock # 1: The Miz & Bobby Lashley

The Miz and Bobby Lashley successfully conspired to win the WWE Championship from Drew McIntyre Elimination Room 2021. Miz is now the champion, and Lashley gets a title on next week’s (March 1) episode of Raw.

This corner looks like it’s designed to push Bobby Lashley into the WWE Championship game WrestleMania 37. Lashley even joined the list of the few men Braun Strowman ever pinned when he took out the Monster Among Men during Raw.

There you have it, Cagesiders. Whose share do you think has changed the most this week?
